Tippi Benjamine Okanti Degré, daughter of French wildlife photographers Alain Degré and Sylvie Robert, was born in Namibia. During her childhood she befriended many wild animals, including a 28-year old elephant called Abu and a leopard nicknamed J&B. She was embraced by the Bushmen and the Himba tribespeople of the Kalahari, who taught her how to survive on roots and berries, as well as how to speak their language.

  7. I’ve been practically living at the library. I spent Friday and Saturday afternoon-evening studying. Sunday I got there at 9am and ended up staying till 5am even though I normally like to get a good nights sleep before an exam.. Also I usually eat really healthy for an exam but I just starved myself or ate junk food and only drank energy drinks. I took a break Monday night and watched Ironman 3 with Hanam, but the whole time we were at the theatre I couldn’t stop thinking about my bio exam. So Tuesday (yesterday) I woke up and went straight to the library and was there from 10am-11pm (I had 4 hours of sleep Monday night). When I got home I couldn’t even study. I just ktfo. So again I woke up super early today to study for my afternoon final. PLEASE LET ME PASS.

  11. Metal Horse Warning

:While the confident Metal Horse has many strengths to offer, their personality also has its downfalls. With a truly free spirit, the Metal Horse’s biggest challenge may be committing to anything in life. Similarly, their interests become so varied that the Metal Horse can spread their efforts to thin and fail to find focus.

  12. Anonymous asked: I always thought you were one of those naturally good looking and smart people that things just came to and didnt have to reread a bunch of times.

Really? That’s sweet. Sometimes things come easily… Like biology and general chemistry and derivatives and integrals. I could just look over the material once and understand it.. But there were times when I really struggled.. Geometry, physics, second half of organic chemistry… I might fail my very first class.. But your comment made me realize that there are things I am good at and that I just need to work a little harder on the things that I’m not so good with.. It doesn’t mean I should quit just because it doesn’t come to me right away.. I thought I was horrible at math until studied up to calculus and realized I loved it :)

But I can’t come to terms with my looks :/. Haha, as long as Hanam finds me attractive though!

  15. I always wonder why it comes so easily for others. The good looks, the good grades, etc. I work so hard and I don’t feel adequate. I keep reminding myself that I shouldn’t compare myself to others and that I’m the one creating these barriers in my head. But I still can’t help but stray..
